Trek in Himalaya - island peakThe Island Peak Trek is for people who have had previous walking experience, such as winter walking in Scotland, using ice axe and crampons. For people that are doing the Island Peak trek, we will have a day of training in the basic techniques that you will need, as part of the itinerary while on trek. After returning from Kala Pattar, we head up the Imje Khola Valley to Island Peak, following the river. After passing the Lhotse and Imja glaciers we reach Island peak trek base camp before our climb up to Imja Tse (Island Peak 6189 m). IslThe views on the Island Peak trek are remarkable, with the whole of the Khumbu mountains spread out before you.

The Island Peak Trek is the most popular trekking peak in Nepal. From Dingboche the mountain is seen as an island in a sea of ice. The summit is interesting and attractive with a highly glaciated west face rising from the Lhotse Glacier. The mountain itself is the extension of the South Ridge of Lhotse Shar separated by a small col.The Island Peak Trek not only provides an enjoyable climb but also provides some of the most spectacular scenery of the Himalayas. Seen from the summit of Island peak, the giant mountains, Nuptse (7,879m), Lhotse (8,501m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m) and Lhotse Shar (8,383m) make a semi circle in the north. The views of Makalu (8475m) in the east, Baruntse and Amadablam in the south are never to be forgotten.

Day 01: Katmandu (1310m/4298ft). Our airport representative will be received you at the airport and transfer to Hotel. It is 7km and takes about 10 minutes. O/N at hotel, B & B plan
