Close-by to Pisang Peak, Chulu West can be ascended from a small valley north of Manang. The best view of the peak can be seen from the Throngla Pass (5416m/ft) of the Annapurna Circuit. Expeditions head up from Yak pastures which lead to the hidden valley, home of base camp. From there, climbers trek up to an altitude of 5100m; a possible site for high camp. The challenging summit climb is approached on the North/West flank of Chulu.
