Chisapani –Nagarkot trek

Chisapani and Nagarkot both are popular Mountain View spots offering excellent close view of Everest and Langtang ranges. This short trek takes you beyond the rim of Kathmandu Valley through Sundarijal and into the hills to the north valley of the Shivapuri National Park 159 sq km (2760m), established in 2002. From here, fine views can be had of Ganesh Himal, Himalchuli, Manaslu and Langtang range. The entire hill is thickly forested and enjoys a rich flora and fauna then east to Nagarkot which is located at the distance of 32 km east of Kathmandu at an elevation of 2175m. Nagarkot is a small village famous for its panoramic mountain views. On a clear day one can see the spectacular views of the whole Langtang range, sunrise on the mountains and sunset views and then back to Kathmandu or you can also go to Changu Narayan (World Heritage site) from Nagarkot and then walk down to the Sankhu and take a bus to Kathmandu.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu. and Transfer to Hotel. Includes: (A).
Day 2: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley. Includes: (A), (B).
Day 3: Kathmandu - Sundarijal - Chisapani (2150M) 5hrs. Drive from Kathmandu. To Sundarijal. trail climbs up through mixed forest and pass the Mulkharka village to Chisopani Danda. In a clear day there are good views of mountain from east to west. there are good view of mountain and Kathmandu. Valley. Includes: (A), (B), (L), (D).
Day 4: Chisapani – Nagarkot (2163M)5 to 6hrs. An interesting trail takes us to the hill retreat of Nagarkot, perched on a ridge 32 km east of Kathmandu. It commands sweeping views of the Himalayas. Five of the world's ten highest peaks, Everest, Lhotse, Choyu, Makalu and Manaslu are visible from here. Nagarkot is also a popular spot to watch sunrise and sunset. Includes: (A), (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: Nagarkot – Changu Narayan - Kathmandu. The trail descend down to old Temple of Changunarayan for 3 hours hike.Visit the temple & drive to Kathmandu by bu or car for one hr.
